In 2009, members of our English speaking congregation who lived in the Punta de Mita area asked if we could hold an outreach there. A group of kids from the junior high youth group, Eklektos, went with us to hold a meeting there as a result of their request. Later, we met a family in Punta de Mita who wanted to know more about the Bible. In April 2010, we started a Bible Study in the home of that local family. After meeting for a month, we had the opportunity to buy a plot of land to start a mission in Punta de Mita. We have been meeting there twice a week since then. In July 2010, we were able to hold a Vacation Bible School in the new location. Recently, $4000 has been donated to our mission to begin building on the land we already own. We are planning to begin building this year, and praise God that he has given us the opportunity to move forward and minister to the people here in Punta de Mita.
